During the night of today, it rained mainly in Šumava and the České les, where over 40 millimeters of rain fell in the last 12 hours, the most according to meteorologists at the Prášily and Železná Ruda stations. “The combination of heavier rain, melting snow and stronger wind caused the river levels to rise. The biggest rises were recorded on the rivers draining the Šumava,” ČTK meteorologists reported this morning. In the morning, the Křemelná River reached the first flood stage at the Stodůlky station. It is not excluded that the rivers draining Šumava may reach the first or second level of flood activity.

Precipitation will decrease in the afternoon and evening. The highest daily temperatures will range from eight to 12 degrees, in the north only around six degrees, while in the south of Moravia the thermometer can show up to 15 degrees Celsius. A similar type of weather will continue on Friday.

“The weather will be quite wild, today's heat will be replaced by Saturday's intrusion of cold air, and at the beginning of next week it will warm up again,” meteorologists said this morning.

On Saturday, they expect snow or snow showers, initially it will also rain. It can freeze at night, during the day the highest temperatures will be from zero to five degrees, and the wind will also increase again.

The forecast for Sunday predicts cloudy to partly cloudy skies, occasional snow showers or occasional rain. Temperatures during the day will be from plus three to seven degrees. On Monday, another change in the weather will come in the form of a significant warming, when temperatures will climb up to 14 degrees Celsius according to the current forecast.
