Prague – Cold weather will prevail in the Czech Republic today with temperatures around one degree Celsius, it will snow in places. It will warm up slightly in the following days. Daily temperatures rise to seven degrees. But they will continue to drop well below freezing at night. By the end of the week, meteorologists expect a cooling down and a new amount of snow, they reported today on the website of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ).

According to today's forecast, it will be cloudy in most places, and it will still snow in places in the mountains. In the afternoon, however, the sky will partially clear, the precipitation will stop and it will be partly cloudy. It will be very cold on Tuesday night. Temperatures will drop to minus three to minus seven degrees, on snow cover to minus nine degrees. Temperatures will hover around five degrees during the day. Meteorologists expect a similar type of weather in the middle of the working week. On Wednesday and Thursday, they will reach the highest daily temperature of seven degrees Celsius.

From Friday, it will cool down during the day, but the night frosts will subside to zero to minus five degrees towards the weekend. It will start snowing in most areas. In the mountains, the forecast expects more permanent snowfall.
