Chicago entered the match better and led 3:1 after halftime thanks to Kane's three goals. The Maple Leafs chase was started in the 38th minute by Noel Acciari, who scored his first goal in the Maple Leaf jersey after Kämpf's good work in the goal area.

Toronto equalized in the third period, but the home team decided on their win with two goals in the last ten minutes. Cole Guttman scored the difference in the 52nd minute, scoring the first Canadian point in the NHL. Goalkeeper Petr Mrázek watched Chicago's win only from the substitution.

Vítek Vaněček and David Rittich did not start the match either. In the meeting between their teams, the Devils from New Jersey rejoiced, defeating Winnipeg 4:2. The Devils won for the second time in a row and retained third place in the Eastern Conference table and the entire NHL.

Only Karel Vejmelka remained on the bench after Saturday's unsuccessful performance. Arizona, in goal for which Connor Ingram spent the entire game, beat Columbus 3-2 in overtime and extended its point streak to nine games.

St. Louis didn't even manage a second game after the departure of star center Ryan O'Reilly. The Blues lost 2:7 in Ottawa and are already ten points out of the eleventh place in the Western Conference in the playoffs. Tim Stützle led the Senators' win with two goals and one assist.
