Kyiv – Russian soldiers focus on offensives in the directions of Kupjansk in Kharkiv Oblast and Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdijivka and Shakhtarsk in Donetsk Oblast. Over the past day, Ukrainian forces repelled about 90 enemy attacks in these areas, the Ukrainian General Staff said in its regular morning report. Russian occupation forces launched ten rocket attacks and 19 additional air strikes. The enemy also fired salvo rocket launchers 37 times, the General Staff added.

The British Ministry of Defense in its analysis of the situation on the battlefield also informs over the last 48 hours of continued heavy fighting in the Bakhmut area, where Ukrainian forces still maintain open supply lines route to the west despite the fact that the Russians have been trying to slowly encircle the area for the past six weeks.
Further south in the Donetsk region, the town of Vuhledar became the target of intense shelling. “There is a real possibility that Russia is preparing for another offensive in this area despite costly failed attempts in early February and late 2022,” the British ministry added.
