In the votes of coaches, captains of individual teams and selected journalists, Kovář clearly reigned supreme in the category of goalkeepers, in which he received 128 points. The Romanian goalkeeper Pardubic Florin Nita finished second with a big gap of 65 points, and the famous player Ondřej Kolář came third with the same profit, but with a lower number of first places.
Kovář came to Sparta in September on a one-year loan from Manchester United and immediately became the number one of the summer team. With 10 clean sheets in the league season, the 23-year-old goalkeeper is second to Filip Nguyen from Slovácko, together with Kolář, by one zero. He helped Prague win their first title after nine years, which his team finally secured on Tuesday after a goalless draw in Uherské Hradiště.
Sörensen also played a significant role in Sparta's championship primacy. The 26-year-old stopper, who joined the club before the season, led the defense of his team and scored five goals on top, which makes him the second best defender in terms of goals this league season. Sörensen dominated the voting among the backs with an overview of 41 points ahead of the famous David Jurásek, another player from Eden Igoh Ogbu finished third.
LFA traditionally publishes the results of the supporting categories first. On Thursday, they will announce the best midfielder and forward, and on Friday, the three-member final nomination for the winner of the main categories, which they will announce on Saturday.
