New York – Basketball representative Vít Krejčí was among the top scorers in the NBA for the first time this calendar year, but his basket after the raid at the end of the duel with New York only eased Atlanta's 101:122 home defeat. The Czech quarterback played in only the fifth game this year, but again only sporadically for less than four minutes, and he scored points for the first time since December 28. A day after the defeat in Milwaukee, Boston confirmed the role of the league leader this time and beat Detroit clearly at home 127:109.

Atlanta never led in the game with the Knicks, the opponent crushed it on quick counterattacks (30:11) or when shooting threes (14:5) and lost by up to 25 points. In addition to this year's premier shooting record, Krejčí also managed to record a rebound and an assist. Only De'Andre Hunter reached the twenty-point mark, Julius Randle with 28 points and Jalen Brunson with 25 points and 11 assists led the guests to victory.
Jayson Tatum contributed significantly to Boston's win, scoring 38 points, grabbing nine rebounds and adding seven assists. The Celtics are still without Jaylen Brown, but Marcus Smart is back in the lineup after missing nine games. “We missed him a lot, specifically the joy he brings to the game,” coach Joe Mazzulla praised the all-around performance of Smart, who recorded 9 points, 7 rebounds and after 6 assists, also gained balls.
Boston had won five of six games before the All-Star break and led the league with a 42-17 record. Detroit closes the standings of the Eastern Conference, its best scorer against the Celtics was Bojan Bogdanovic with 28 points.
Mikal Bridges with a personal record 45 points helped Brooklyn win 116:105 over Miami. The player, who recently transferred from Phoenix and broke the forty-point mark for the first time in his career, also added 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The Nets entered the final quarter with a slim lead of three points, but thanks to Bridges' 17 points, they dominated it 33:25.
The Charlotte Hornets defeated San Antonio 120:110 and prepared the visiting Spurs for their fourteenth defeat in a row. LaMelo Ball shined: he recorded a triple double with 28 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, and at 21 years and 177 days became the second-youngest player to reach 1,000 in all three of those statistics. Only LeBron James had done it before.
Dallas, without Kyrie Irving, lost 109-118 to Western Conference leader Denver despite Luka Doncic's 37 points. The Nuggets were led by Nikola Jokic, who had a triple double with 14 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists.
