Dubai – Barbora Krejčíková will challenge world number one Iga Šwiateková in today's final of the tennis tournament in Dubai. They will meet for the fourth time, and the last match between them was also a title fight. In October in Ostrava, a Czech player was more successful for the first time, who ended the Polish opponent's streak of ten final victories after a three-set battle. The year before last, twenty-one-year-old Šwiateková won in Miami and Rome.

27-year-old Krejčíková has already defeated three players from the world's top ten in Dubai – No. 2 Aryna Sabalenkova from Belarus, No. 3 Jessica Pegula from the USA and No. 8 Darya Kasatkinova from Russia – as well as compatriot Petra Kvitova. She advanced to the finals in the United Arab Emirates after two years. In 2021, she was not enough against the Spaniard Garbiňa Muguruza in the decisive duel.
Šwiateková will play for her thirteenth title and the second in a row a week after her triumph in Doha, Krejčíková for the sixth. The match will be a duel between the winners of the Grand Slam French Open from the last three years.
