Genoa – The adventure to the European ju-jitsu by Kristian Deda, born in 1996, worker at Ansaldo Energia since 2019. Born in Tirana and moved to Genoa in 1998, the eldest of three brothers, Kristian has been practicing martial arts since he was seven years old: “Always in the same gym, a Sampierdarena – he says – I had my first call-up to the national team when I was 14, then the world championship in Belgium. It didn’t go well, but that moment was the key to working hard ”.

In 2016 Kristian becomes champion of Italy, a title he still holds, and ranks second in the world championships. “It is a great emotion and a great responsibility to participate in these Europeans – he says – I like to think that in this great challenge I bring with me a bit of energy, the one that my work helps to produce”.

Kristian works as machine tool operator numerically controlled, on the boring machines that shape the turbine casings. To carry on his leadership he trains every day, also thanks to the agreement with the company that allows him to do only the morning shift to respect the training.
