The total number of customers rose by two percent year-on-year to 6.423 million. Of this, the number of prepaid card users fell by 1.1 percent to 1.956 million. Data consumption in the mobile network increased by 47.4 percent and the number of T-Mobile TV viewers increased by 10.5 percent to 237,000 connected.

“The military conflict, a significant increase in inflation and rising prices of various commodities, fuel or energy. Only the energy to operate our networks, which are energy-intensive, has become more expensive fivefold,” said the company's CEO Jose Perdomo Lorenzo.

By the end of 2022, 363,468 households could use optical internet. This is roughly 80,000 connections more than a year ago. According to the operator, the pace of coverage of other locations largely depends on regulatory requirements, and the company has a minimum of options to speed it up. That is also why T-Mobile concluded an agreement with Vodafone on the mutual access of infrastructure, thanks to which the construction of the optical network should be more gentle, more efficient and faster.

The T-Business division for corporate customers also focused on the construction of private 5G networks for universities and industry. Last year, private campus 5G networks expanded to include the Liberec University of Technology and the CEITEC workplace at BUT Brno. Private 5G networks have also started to be used by Kvados and Toyota. Since January, the division became the main partner of the platform of the National Center for Industry 4.0 at CIIRC ČVU, and a joint Testbed for Industry 4.0 was created, supporting the development of a research and experimental environment.

Last year, the operator also faced many hacker attacks, which defended. A fundamental step in the field of cyber security was the opening of the new Security Operations Center in Roztyle, Prague.

T-Mobile is part of the multinational group Deutsche Telekom. The company uses 100 percent electricity from renewable sources for its operation, optimizes the technological infrastructure, reduces material consumption, takes care to eliminate plastics and supports the circular economy. In cooperation with the Czech University of Life Sciences, it also launched a long-term unique Smart Forest Landscape project near Kostelka nad Černými lesy, within the framework of which it monitors processes in the forest via the 5G network.
