The founder of the mythical American hard rock band Van Halen passed away after a long battle with cancer

Eddie Van Halen, founder of the band Van Halen and rock icon of the 70s and 80s, passed away this Tuesday at the age of 65 of throat cancer.
The guitarist died at the Providence Saint John's Health Center hospital in Santa Monica (California).
