Berlin – The Leverkusen footballers with Adam Hložek in the starting line-up drew 0:0 in the German league at Union Berlin and have not lost in 14 competitive matches. Hložek played 62 minutes, Patrik Schick is still troubled by a sore groin.
Leverkusen remained sixth, and Mainz can catch up on points if they win over Wolfsburg. Union have not lost their 21st home game and set a club record. It is third in the table and has the same points as fourth-placed Freiburg, who won 1-0 in Cologne with a goal from Doan. Both clubs are five points behind Dortmund. Freiburg managed to collect 56 points in the top flight for the first time and still have four more rounds to improve this balance.
Leipzig's footballers secured fifth place thanks to a 1-0 win over Hoffenheim, they lose two places to secure qualification for the Champions League points and have a six-point lead over sixth Leverkusen. The team's top scorer Nkunku took care of the win with his thirteenth goal of the season.
Stuttgart beat Mönchengladbach 2:1 at home and left the relegation zone. Coulibaly scored the winning goal from the penalty spot. Weigl also scored for the guests from a penalty kick. Stuttgart is a score ahead of sixteenth placed Bochum.
