Prague – During his visit to the United States next week, Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský (Pirates) will not only meet with his counterpart Antony Blinken, but also, for example, with the chairmen of the institutes of American political parties or a meeting with Republican representatives of Congress. Ministry spokesman Daniel Drake told ČTK today.

Lipavský will fly to the USA on Monday, May 1. A day later, he will have a meeting with Blinken, with whom, in addition to bilateral relations, he wants to address security cooperation, support for Ukraine attacked by Russia, energy security or cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
In addition, on Tuesday the head of Czech diplomacy will start 11 . year of the Strategic Dialogue between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the USA, together with the Deputy for Political Affairs Victoria Nulandová. He will also speak at a moderated discussion at the Hudson Institute.
On Wednesday, Lipavský will meet with Republican representatives of Congress. By signing at NASA headquarters, he will confirm the Czech accession to the Artemis agreement, i.e. the US initiative for cooperation in the exploration of the Moon, Mars and other space bodies. The government approved joining the arrangement at the beginning of March.
The minister will also visit the Select USA event, which will also be attended by Czech companies and investors. Lipavský will also hold talks with the CEO of the Agency for Global Media, Amanda Bennett, and he will meet with the chairmen of political party institutes – the National Democratic Institute and the International Republican Institute. He will also take part in an expert meeting of the prestigious American think tank Atlantic Council. Lipavský will make his return trip on Thursday.
