A man was found guilty of manslaughter by negligence or lack of supervision by the correctional court of Orleans (Loiret), last Thursday. It has, however, been dispensed sentence, as requested by the prosecutor. The defendant had caused the death of her infant at the age of from one month two years ago to Saint-Martin-d’Abbat (Loiret); reports France Bleu Orléans.
Coming home from a drunken evening, the defendant had heard the infant crying and had given it to him. a bottle. His child being used to taking breaks while drinking milk, the father of the family had decided to to place it on the sofa but then he fell asleep. The next morning, the mother had discovered the baby. lifeless.
The autopsy concluded that the baby was was “dead by positional asphyxiation” Examinations had shown that the defendant had an alcohol level of 1.02 g per liter of blood the following day at noon. He has not had a drop of alcohol since that day, he explained. The mother was not a civil party, assuring that her companion is a “very good father”.
