More than 200 young athletes tried their luck at the regional school athletics championship last Friday in Amos.
The color bearers of the School Services Center of the x27;Or-et-des-Bois [CSSOB] won the regional school athletics championship, held last Friday in Amos in the presence of more than 200 young athletes.
The CSSOB won the “all categories” banner, closely followed by the Center de services scolaire Harricana [CSSH].
The two delegations finishing the competition with 264 points each in the overall, the team champion had to be determined by the number of gold medals, a statistic where CSSOB won by 27 to 24 over CSSH.
L'Or-et-des-Bois also won the championship banners in the youngest female, youngest male and youngest male categories, while Harricana won in the youngest male categories , female cadet and female juvenile.
Next week the list of athletes making up the Abitibi-Témiscamingue delegation to the provincial school championship will be unveiled. #x27;athletics, which will be presented from June 9 to 11 in Rivière-du-Loup.
