After Bordeaux, Lizy-sur-Ourcq (Seine-et-Marne), Douai, Nîmes, Ecully, Riorges or the Grau-du-Roi, the city of Lyon banishes cigarettes in the vicinity of schools and crèches. The municipality took a stop in order to place these establishments in tobacco-free zones.
“The executive has given itself for the ambition of making Lyon a “Children's City” and is committed to to improve overall” inhabitants, argues the city in a press release, recalling that smoking causes 75,000 deaths in France each year. smoking is prohibited near children's play areas in Lyon's parks.
