Mallorca failed to build on the sensational 1-0 win over Real from the previous round, conceding twice against Sevilla in the first half. The first goal was scored during a high pressure by Sevilla Najsrí after an accurate cross from Gueye. In the 40th minute, Navas' cross was cleared by two defenders to Gil, who slid into an empty net.

The visitors took the lead six minutes into the game, Iglesias first fired at the left post but the ball deflected to Rodri and the ball found its way into the net. In the first half, Suárez equalized and just before the break, Canales returned the lead to the visitors.

Valencia has been waiting for a league win since last November, even an early lead did not help them get points in the match against Bilbao. Castillejo ended the demonstration in the 17th minute. The Basque team responded within thirteen minutes with an individual action by Nico Williams, after which the young Spaniard shot past Mamardashvili.
In the second half, Iňaki Williams, the older brother of the author of the first goal, came on. He returned after an enforced two-match break, before which he played a record 251 league matches in a row for Bilbao. After twelve minutes of being on the field, he found Sanceto with a great back pass and he decided the game. Bilbao is sixth in the incomplete table, struggling Valencia is eighteenth.
