Leeds took the lead after just 55 seconds of the game when Gnonto put himself through. It was the second fastest strike by a visiting team at Old Trafford. Only Edin Džeko has previously scored at the United Stadium for Manchester City in 2014 in the 43rd second.

A quick goal was also scored in the second half, when stopper Varane knocked the ball into his own goal in the 48th minute. But in the 62nd minute, Rashford reduced and eight minutes later Sancho equalized. The home team could not turn the score around.

United have lost points only twice in the last ten home games in the league and have lost only once at Old Trafford in this year's Premier League. They are third in the table, two points behind second-placed City and seven behind leaders Arsenal.

Leeds have extended their winless streak to eight rounds and are only one point away from the relegation zone in 16th place.
