The objective is to raise awareness of neurocognitive disorders, mobilize people around this cause and raise money to support Alzheimer Society services.

Unfortunately, we know that cases are likely to double by 2040. We are already overworked. We follow more than 430 caregivers, as well as people with neurocognitive disorders. We have a great team, a team that is very motivated, but we need resources to be able to offer psychosocial support, offer training workshops, support groups, but also respite stimulation, now we offer it in groups and at home, mentions Guillaume Parent just before the start of the march at Place de la Citoyenneté et de la Coopération in Rouyn-Noranda.
He adds that the money collected during of the event will make it possible to maintain and increase services to members.
