After five years of marriage, Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy are preparing to divorce. A separation is desired because the banker and the stylist were not on the same wave length about their desire to have a child, according to People.
After eight years of relationship and five years of marriage, Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy are separated. The banker and the stylist took the decision to divorce,as revealed by several american media, the 13 last may. The former actress has called in particular for the case to be treated in an emergency, in order to be able to leave quickly the apartment in new york where the couple lives. A request that was denied by the court, due to the sanitary crisis due to the outbreak of Coronavirus.
But then why Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy have made the choice to separate them that were married in November 2015 in Manhattan ? As has informed a source close to People, Mary-Kate Olsen is “focused on his great career”, then, that Olivier Sarkozy “wanted it to be more available”. And it would seem that the professional aspect is not the only reason of the rupture of the couple. A week later, Wednesday, 20 may, new revelations come to fall, and they relate to parenting.
A desire to have a child that is different
According to the confidences of a source close to People, the young wife of 33 years, and the banker of 50 years have played on the fact of having children or not. “Olivier Sarkozy, who is the father of two grown children, with his ex-wife Charlotte Bernard, did not want to have more children, while Mary-Kate Olsen wanted”, reports the tabloid. “A few years ago, having a baby was not a priority for [Mary-Kate]. It has changed”, said the source close to the couple. Stylist american, therefore, would have wanted to start a family and have children, unlike her husband. Olivier Sarkozy is already the father of two children, Julien, born in 2000, and Margot, born in 2002. Both are from his first marriage to Charlotte Bernard, with whom he divorced in 2012.
