The Rossoneri are aiming for a loan, asking for 30 million from Moscow. The player’s will can be decisive for speeding up
Even in Moscow they already give him up for lost: Vlasic to Milan for 25 million euros. But this is not the case, the negotiation has just started and has not yet led to any concrete developments. Yes, because Milan want the Croatian midfielder on loan with the right of redemption, while CSKA Moscow does not think they see other solutions beyond the direct sale for 30 million euros. In short, on this basis there is no real dialogue. The reality is that the midfielder wants the Rossoneri shirt and has made it clear to his current managers. It is not true, however, that he defected to retreat in Austria. His absence had been widely agreed, given that he has the right to holidays until July 26: like all Croatian nationals (not surprisingly, the Rossoneri Rebic will also be free until that date). In fact, the programs want him to go to the second phase of the withdrawal directly in Russia. But can the tear happen in these two weeks? In this phase, AC Milan started with due caution, without particularly examining the economic aspects. To be clear: there is still no price. The two companies are sniffing each other. This explains, therefore, how in Moscow there is particular fibrillation for this story.
Nikola Vlasic in his experience with CSKA was a real protagonist, with 28 goals and an consistently excellent performance: so much so that he was named best player in the Russian league. It is no coincidence that Milan had already set their sights on him last season and in recent months there had been a new contact with his entourage: even before the divorce from Hakan Calhanoglu was looming. Right now, however, the real need for the market has been added to the technical feeling, after the departure of the Turkish. The esteem of Maldini and Massara is evident, but it is equally clear that Milan do not want to spend money at random. In recent weeks, many names have been made for the role of attacking midfielder. In addition to Leipzig’s Sabitzer, interest in Ajax’s Tadic has emerged, while the excellent candidacies of James Rodriguez of Everton and Isco of Real Madrid have also been whispered. Apart from the Austrian, however, all these players are now in their thirties and in via Aldo Rossi they prefer to focus on the green line. This is why Vlasic’s candidacy must be held in high regard, despite the difficulties in approaching the Moscow club. The Croatian international in the last European championship found space intermittently in Dalic’s 4-2-3-1, but confirmed that he could make himself useful in multiple midfield roles. His compatriot Olic even used him as a second striker with CSKA and his recent exit from the scene took away serenity from the talent of Split.
For some time now Niko has expressed the desire, at the age of 23, to face new experiences. After all, he arrived in Russia three summers ago after the disappointment suffered in the Premier League. Everton had invested twenty million in 2017 to acquire him from Hajduk Split and he, at just 19, had not found space. Thus he takes the Russian opportunity quickly. As it happens, CSKA applied the same Rossoneri strategy, considering that in the first season they signed him on loan, only to redeem him in 2019 for 16 million euros. It is now due to expire in 2024 and has an important salary, in this phase heavy for the troubled coffers of the Russian club. This argument can also affect the tug-of-war that has just begun. Milan are in no hurry, also because they count on the support of the player. The impression is that the legacy of the 10 is a matter between him and Sabitzer, the other object of the Milanista wishes.
