Indian Wells (USA) – All five Czech tennis players passed the first round of the tournament in Indian Wells. Karolína Muchová and Markéta Vondroušová also succeeded, following Kateřina Siniaková and Linda Fruhvirtová with Nosková. The other four Czechs are straight in the second round, seeded Petra Kvitová, Barbora Krejčíková, Karolína Plíšková and Marie Bouzková.

Muchova made a big comeback against Yulia Putintseva from Kazakhstan, as she was trailing 1-4 in the third set. After two hours and 21 minutes, however, she won 6:3, 4:6 and 6:4. Her next opponent will be former world number one Viktoria Azarenkova from Belarus.
Vondroušová won a duel with Bouzková for the second round. She also defeated the Canadian Rebecca Marin in their third match, clearly twice in Indian Wells 6:2.
