The Commodore of the Navy, Daniel Muñoz. who took office as the new Chief of National Defense for the provinces of Bío Bío and Arauco by the State of Constitutional Exception of Emergency, made his first visit to the area and met with community authorities, the highest police chiefs in the region of Bío Bío and the regional presidential delegate, Daniela Dresdner.

The senior official arrived in Los Angeles to meet with community authorities, together with the highest police chiefs in the Bío Bío region and the regional presidential delegate, Daniela Dresdner.
Commodore Muñoz described the meeting as as useful and necessary.
“To be available, for what we are, which is to provide security. And perceive from the mayors those information and situations that generate insecurity (…)”, specified the new Head of National Defense for the aforementioned provinces.

At the meeting was the new head of the Bío Bío police region of the Investigative Police, Prefect Carlos Díaz, who described the work they are carrying out in the midst of the State of Emergency.
Meanwhile, the new chief of the Eighth Zone of Carabineros, General César Bobadilla, was in the analysis of the figures and strategies to face the so-called rural violence, where he gave his perception of the events that occur in the so-called Southern Macrozone.
For her part, the regional presidential delegate, Daniela Dresdner, spoke of carrying out parallel work that includes the police, but that does not neglect investments.
“To solve the problem, which is the problem of violence that exists in the macrozone, we have to work with the police, with the Armed Forces, but we also have to work with investment in the territories (…)”, the authority specified.
Incendiary attacks
It is worth mentioning that the commune that has had the most arson attacks this year in the province of Bío Bío has been Mulchén, with 6 in total, and associated with violence rural.
