Deputy Daniel Manouchehri (PS) must relinquish the presidency of the Chamber’s Economy Committee, after a motion of no confidence was approved against him. The initiative was presented by Gonzalo de la Carrera, who accused him of launching projects that were only his opinion. In this way, the socialist follows in the footsteps of Consuelo Veloso (RD), who had to leave the presidency of Agriculture after a censure by the UDI.
The Chamber’s Economy Committee approved the motion of no confidence in against deputy Daniel Manouchehri (PS), for which he must cede the presidency.
It should be remembered that the initiative was presented by Gonzalo de la Carrera (IND), who accused the socialist to put on the table projects that “are mostly of their particular interest”.
In this sense, Manouchehri lost his position in the commission by seven votes in favor and six against, so now it will remain to define which parliamentarian will replace him.
Censorship of Manouchehri continues to that of Veloso (RD)
After the censorship was approved, De la Carrera pointed out that “the result has been good for people who defend the ideas of family, progress, growth and a small state”.
He also called on whoever takes office as president to “put fair bills on the table and that are useful for all Chileans who today suffer from inflation and unemployment”.
It should be remembered that the opposition had already managed to get the deputy Consuelo Veloso (RD) to cede the presidency of the Agriculture commission, after a censure was approved by the UDI.
In this scenario, congressmen from Chile Vamos, Republicans and the PDG signed an agreement to take control of 13 commissions is from the House.
