We have known about the existence of Bokeh Game Studio, a new independent video game developer company that has its sights set on the horror genre. It cannot be otherwise, since its founders are some of those responsible for sagas such as Silent Hill and Siren. Now we have known new game details from Bokeh Game Studio. However, the title of the company created by Keiichiro Toyama, Kazunobu Sato and Junya Okura is still distant in time, something that the trio have wanted to make clear from the beginning.
“There are many areas in the prototype that we need to touch up. We feel that there is a core experience on the prototype that hasn’t been seen in other games lately. It cannot simply be described as an experience of terror, since there are also elements of action and speed”Explains Toyama in a interview granted to the Eurogamer portal. Bokeh comments that they have been working on this prototype since the beginning of 2021, so it has been around six months of development and, therefore, they are not yet in a position to show anything to the general public beyond offering these first brushstrokes.

Toyama also wanted to make it clear that his departure from Sony it was not a “sudden move”, but was meditated, because he thinks that the independent scene gives more freedom and opportunities to the horror genre. Finally, Bokeh assures that its title will be a new experience focused on the narrative and hopes that the Silent Hill and Siren fans take a look at it, so we could deduce that it will have common elements with these two franchises.
