Dutch Niels Bensink and Swiss Christan Niederhausern won the Red Bull Pump Truck World Final in Chile

With the triumphs of the Dutch Niels Bensink and the Swiss Christa Niederhäusern, in the Elite category, this Saturday in Chile the Grand World Final of the Red Bull Pump Track, a cycling event federated by the UCI, the main body of this discipline on the planet.

More than 100 competitors from different countries gathered at the Santa Fe Bikepark, a circuit located in San Carlos de Apoquindo. And the event ended with new monarchs, displacing the Frenchman Eddy Clerte and the Belgian Aiko Gommers.

Niels Bensink prevailed in the masculine definition against < strong>American Alec Bon. The man from the Netherlands covered the course in the final in 23.171 seconds, compared to 23.201 for the American.

On the women’s side, Christa Niederhäusern defeated in the final to the Czech Sabina Kosarkova. The Swiss woman set the time for the gold in 25.586 seconds, while the winner of the silver medal stopped the clocks in 25.743.

Each one of the participants fought in a ‘double’ game: against the clock, to achieve the best time, and also against the difficulties of the track itself that leads to observing notable turns and tricks.

Note that Chile had six representatives at the Red Bull UCI Pump Track, who got their tickets to the tournament last week in the national final. Renata Urrutia, Rosario Aguilera and Isidora García competed in the women’s category, while Cristóbal Palominos, Benjamín Salvatierra and Bruno Lavagnino did so in the men’s category.
