As part of its upcoming releases, Amazon Prime Video will add to its content catalog Nine perfect strangers next August 20. The series stars Nicole Kidman in the title role and is directed by David E. Kelley. In fact, this is not the first time that the Hollywood star has worked with the director: the two had a successful collaboration in Big little lies, a production that earned positive reviews after its arrival on HBO.

Now, the duo returns with a new tangle of events in a project that is shaping up to be one of the most addictive on the aforementioned streaming platform. An indication of this is that currently has a 74% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a positively professing consensus: “A meandering mystery can muddy its impact, but the strong performances of this eclectic ensemble make Nine Perfect Strangers always highly enjoyable.”

Based on the New York Times bestseller of the same name, written by author Liane Moriarty, the series takes place in a health and wellness complex that promises the healing and transformation of nine stressed-out city dwellers trying to make their way to a better way of life.
The director of the venue, Masha, is in charge of watching over them during this 10-day retreat and is on a mission to revitalize their tired minds and bodies. Soon they participate in different and strange forms of therapy. Although at first it all seems like a normal experience, these nine “perfect” strangers have no idea what they are about to witness.
