Nissan has unveiled its all-new crossover-Nissan electric Ariya.
Nissan was a pioneer in the electric car with the Leaf, which had even paid the luxury of winning one of many trophies for Car of the year upon its release in 2011.
This trial has almost ten years of age, the japanese manufacturer returns this time of walk-in the world of electric with an all-new model to the characteristics of promising, the Nissan Ariya. The Nissan Ariya is strongly inspired by the concept car of the same name presented at the motor Show of Tokyo of 2019 and that the IMx was the first draft to the auto Show in Tokyo in 2017. It is a compact SUV that will compete with cars of the same category as the as the Tesla Model S, the Ford Mustang Mach-E or even the future Audi e-tron Q4.
The style of the Ariya, faithful to the standards of Nissan, wants to be the representative of the new philosophy based on what the brand calls the futurism japanese timeless – characterized by a japanese approach distinctive conveyed in a simple and modern.
The Ariya will be offered in four versions, with versions two-wheel-drive versions, and all-wheel-drive. Each of these versions will be available with two choices of battery, a 63 kWh usable, and a 87 kWh1 usable. The version is the most upscale, the Ariya e-4ORCE four-wheel drive and two engines, with a battery capacity usable of 87 kWh, will be endowed with the highest level of intelligent mobility, Nissan, in particular, the system ProPILOT 2.0, which allows you to drive in a single lane on the highway.
By connecting the navigation system and by using the map data, the technology ProPILOT 2.0 can help to adjust the speed of the vehicle as a function of the limitation is displayed. In addition, it can also help to adjust the speed of the vehicle based on the forecast traffic, for example by anticipating a slowdown or approach a tight bend.
As it has become the standard on almost all electric cars the past few years, the battery pack is situated flat in the floor of the car. The power will run from 215 to 385 horses, with three driving modes-Standard, Sport and ECO, plus a snow mode on the versions e-4ORCE. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h will be in the range of 7.5 seconds to 5.1 seconds, depending on the version.
On the technology side, the Nissan Ariya is equipped with a driver assistance including the e-Pedal, introduced for the first time in the electric car Nissan LEAF, which allows the driver to start, accelerate and decelerate using only the accelerator pedal. However, on surfaces with low grip, the brakes are applied simultaneously with the engine, which allows the four wheels to slow the vehicle safely. On models equipped with e-4ORCE, the couple regenerator is distributed not only to the front wheels, but also to the rear.
Regarding the management of the energy, the batteries are capable of withstanding a peak load of 130 kW, which allows the Ariya to travel up to 375 miles with a quick charge of 30 minutes using the charging system, the japanese CHAdeMO. (Specification japanese and charging system capable of charging 130 kW, estimation subject to approval and to the environmental conditions and battery life).
