Planica (Slovenia) – The Norwegian skier Paal Golberg became the world champion in the 50 kilometer race with a mass start. In the finish of the last race of the classic skiing championship in Planica, Slovenia, he also defeated compatriot Johannes Hösflot Klaeb. Sweden's William Poromaa won the bronze. Czech skiers Michal Novák and Adam Fellner did not start due to illness.
