Investigators are on site to find out the exact causes of the accident.

In northern Macedonia at least 14 people have died in a corona hospital fire. A fire broke out late Wednesday night in the town of Tetovo in the northwestern part of the country.

Prime Minister of the country Zoran Zaevin according to the fire caused by the explosion.

“There has been a huge tragedy at the covid-19 center in Tetovo. The explosion caused a fire. The fire was put out, but we lost many lives, ”said Zaev, who said he was traveling to Tetovo.

Fire ignited at the same time as Northern Macedonia celebrated its 30th anniversary of independence from Yugoslavia. Among other things, a military parade was held in the capital, Skopje.

It took about 45 minutes to put out the fire. Investigators are on site to find out the exact causes of the accident.

The Tetovo corona clinic was built last year for corona patients.

Coronavirus infections have recently increased to two million people in northern Macedonia. About 30 coronavirus-related deaths have been reported daily in the country.

During the pandemic, more than 6,100 virus-related deaths and more than 181,000 virus infections have been reported in the country.

In Iraq, dozens of people died in April and July in corona hospital fires caused by oxygen cylinder explosions.
