Professionals who work in comprehensive centers for victims, women and the Comprehensive Reparatory Care Center for Violence Against Women (CARI) of Valdivia, which are unemployed after dismissals, will continue to mobilize after not being satisfied with the response of the municipality.
The officials of support devices for women and crime victims will continue to be unemployed , after not being satisfied with the response of the municipality of Valdivia to their demands.
As announced by Mayor Carla Anmtmann, internally, the building responded to the concern of the professionals who work in the comprehensive centers for victims, women and the Center for Comprehensive Reparatory Care in Violence Against Women (CARI) who are unemployed after dismissals.
However, despite the previous commitment of the administrator Cristian Oñate, according to the representative of the officials, Yenny Barría, the municipality did not agree to the requested points.
“The municipal administration -on the day of yesterday- he responded to us and did not agree to any of the points requested within the petition. This means that there is no reinstatement of all the officials who were terminated at the appropriate time (…)”, indicated Barría.
Within the demands, they request the reinstatement of officials, correct alleged administrative irregularities and better working conditions.
The latter brought with it a persecution, according to Barría.
“ (…) They began to take away our printers, inks, desks, it was something very evident”, added the spokesperson.
To date, there are about 17 people who have received notification of dismissal, corresponding to the Comprehensive Reparation Center (CARI), the Women’s Center, and the Comprehensive Center for Victims .
Following this response, the services will remain on indefinite strike and tomorrow they will hold a meeting with all the officials affected to analyze the following actions.
