Sami Välimäki and Kalle Samooja will not have many days to get used to the time difference in the Tokyo Olympic tournament.
Finnish golfers Sami Välimäki and Kalle Samooja will start their race early Thursday morning at the Tokyo Olympics.
The duo have only one concern on the trip: both rackets are currently on an adventure in London.
“The latest information is that they should come to the hotel today at midnight. Hopefully that’s true, ”Samooja said Monday.
Samoan has unnecessarily recent experience of the same.
“Nothing drowned for many years, but now it’s gone on the last two trips,” he wondered.
Players and coach Timo Karvinen found a spot in Japan on Sunday. Golfers do not live in a race village like the rest of the team.
Välimäki was able to take a feel for the Kasumigaseki Country Club field. Välimäki’s equipment manufacturer has its own truck on site.
The equipment manufacturer made roughly similar rackets that Välimäki normally plays in order for the training to be successful.
Välimäki played nine fairways.
“Good looking field. The brick has to be strong because Raffi has been raised for a long time, ”he said.
Players only have a few days to get used to the time difference. This is not a problem in Välimäki’s opinion, because it is familiar to professionals.
“In many cases, it’s not more helpful to come to the scene earlier. The week would just start to feel far. ”
