On the side of Oppo, it has obviously decided to go even further, faster, since the group will present this week a new solution of charging. On 15 July, Oppo will indeed lift the veil on a new technology, which will recharge at the speed of 125W. The latter should allow to recharge completely a battery of 4000 mAh in just 15 minutes.

On the side of the competition, Vivo already offers a solution to load (very) fast-120W, which allows you to recover 50% of battery in 5 minutes, and to fill in a quarter of an hour. In all likelihood, the technology signed Oppo should do the same, or even show a tiny bit faster. As A comparison, the fast charging of the iPhone 11 is 18W.
Of course, if these new solutions are fast-charging is a good thing in absolute terms, many point the finger at the side adverse, medium-term and long-term, this type of technologies. In fact, with its technology 65W, tested on a Reno Ace 2, Oppo has announced a battery capacity 91% after 800 recharge cycles.
In effect, charging a battery too quickly also has the annoying tendency to degrade more quickly. See now what will be the impact of a recharge of 125W on the life of a smartphone…
