Orlando Fundichely joined the list of artists who have expressed their support for the protests that have been taking place in Cuba against the regime of President Miguel Díaz-Canel, heir to Fidel and Raúl Castro.
The Cuban actor, known for his role in the series In the background there is room, raised his voice through several messages he published on his official Twitter account, where he used the hashtags #SOSCuba and #AbajoLaDictadura.
In addition, he shared images of the police repression against the protesters who took to the streets on the Caribbean island. “The true minions. So much so that they filled their mouths to talk about the Batista Police. Let the world see these images ”, wrote the interpreter.
“Raw images, help me report this, please,” reads another tweet from Orlando Fundichely. Later, he regretted that his native country was going through a political and economic crisis.
“They are dying in my country. There are hundreds of people in prison. Silence is not an option. #SOSCuba #AbajoLaDictadura. They are massacring my people, “added the ex-husband of Karina rivera.
He also referred to the report on the blockade of social networks in Cuba. “I get a lump in my throat just thinking that what they are doing to my countrymen at this time when the island is already isolated and the troops have come out to repress with long weapons,” was the message of the Cuban actor.
