Beware of crooks in disguise. The Métropole d’Orléans (Loiret) warns against people who pretend to be its agents and who come to the homes of residents to sell them calendars, reports The Republic of Center. The latter claim to be garbage collectors.
An initiative authorized by the community
To avoid being tricked, the authorities s advise local residents to systematically ask for the person’s business card or to identify whether their clothing has the correct logo. The agents in charge of waste collection have indeed been authorized by the community to sell calendars.
In the event that the canvassers would be incapacitated; to prove their real function or their belonging to the services of the Metropolis, the inhabitants can then alert the municipal police.
