Pardubice – Pardubice football players beat Hradec Králové 1:0 in the 28th round of the first league in the East Bohemian derby. Coach Radoslav Kováč's team won after three defeats and got rid of the last place, which is now Zlín. “Shoemakers” lose three points to fifteenth-placed East Bohemia, and they have Sunday's match at the field of the defending champions Pilsen.

Pavel Černý, a former Hradec player, decided Pardubice's triumph in the 56th minute. At the end of the game, the visiting defender Michael Leibl was sent off after the second yellow card. Pardubice defeated Hradec for the second time in the league season, winning 3:1 on their field in the fall. “Invaders” lost in the top competition after two victories 2:1 and remained seventh in the incomplete table.
The East Bohemian league derby took place for the first time at the home stadium of one of the teams, Pardubice previously operated in an asylum in Ďolíček, while Hradec plays its home match in Mladá Boleslav. For the third time in a row, the guests were missing the ill coach Miroslav Koubek, who was once again replaced on the bench by assistant Stanislav Hejkal.
The first half offered only two opportunities. In the sixth minute, Harazim's cross from the right fell to Novotný, but the visiting midfielder did not beat goalkeeper Nita from close range. The not-so-pretty game continued for the rest of the opening act, at the end of which the home midfielder Hlavatý failed to face goalkeeper Bajz.
Pardubice entered the second half more actively and scored in the 56th minute. Hlavatý went around Kodeš and found Černé, who finished on the ground to the post. The 38-year-old striker scored the fourth goal of the league season, but out of respect for his former team, he did not celebrate it too much. He also scored the winning goal against Hradec in the autumn match between them. His father Pavel and grandfather Jiří also played for “Votroky”, who won the only title in the club's history with him in 1960. Pardubice scored the 25th goal of the top flight season, but they still have the worst attack of all teams.
Shortly after, Hlavatý headed a volley just wide after a corner kick. The home team could have increased the score in the 76th minute, but Kodeš made a self-sacrificing save in the shot of Pardubice's top scorer in the league, Janošek. Later, after a counterattack, Janošek looked for the substitute Helešice in front of the goal, but he did not get to the end. In the 87th minute, the 39-year-old Pardubice midfielder Jeřábek made his debut in the league season after a long injury.
In the 90th minute, he saw Leibl's second yellow. “Invaders” confirmed the position of the team with the most suspended players with the tenth red card in the year of the top competition. Pardubice have not lost the fourth of their last five matches at home in the league and won 17 of the total 25 points there in the season.
