New York – After two games in the NHL, David Pastrňák once again became one of the scorers, and together with Pavel Zacha, they also prepared a goal for another Czech forward, David Krejčí, and the best team of the competition Boston won 5:2 on the ice of Minnesota. Martin Nečas helped Carolina win over Philadelphia 5:4 in overtime with a goal and an assist. Radek Faksa also established himself. Thanks to his goal, Dallas defeated Calgary 6:5 in overtime.

Pastrňák first converted from 0:1 before the half of the match and in the power play with a swing shot from the left circle for a throw-in sent Boston into the lead for the first time in the match. In the 35th minute, he was at the start of the action, during which the puck passed through Zacha to Krejčí, whose blocked pass went through the concrete of goalkeeper Filip Gustavsson.
The home team reduced the score even more, but Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron, on whose goal Brad Marchand had the third assist of the game, and Trent Frederic on the power play confirmed the win. The Bruins ended their opponents' fourteen-game point streak.
Two unusual actors also made a significant contribution to Boston's win. Video coaches Sean Andrake and Mat Myers helped reverse Minnesota's two goals and were instrumental in the Bruins' 52nd win of the year. “Great job, we have to thank them,” said goalkeeper Linus Ullmark.
The most productive Czech player in the league, Pastrňák improved his record in the season to 47 goals and 45 assists, and he is now only one goal and three points away from equalizing personal records from the year 2019/20. Krejčí scored the 14th goal of the season and was named the second star of the match after Marchand. Zacha scored his 30th assist and is just two points away from the 50-point mark for the season.
The second most productive Czech, Martin Nečas, has already reached 64 points. In the duel with Philadelphia, he first prepared the opening goal for Sebastian Ah and at 59:59 sent the match into overtime from close range. “I was waiting at the back post and suddenly the puck floated in front of me. I don't even know where it went, but when I saw it, I just sent it into the goal,” he said.
Aho completed the turnaround with the third goal in the match. The Finnish forward broke through after a seven-match wait for a point and scored his third hat-trick of the season. “It's not pleasant when you don't score for a long time. I want to help the team, that's why I was hoping to finally break through today. After the last match in Toronto (2:5), in which I didn't use several promising chances, I had my motivation taken care of,” he said.
Carolina won the second of the last five duels and is second in the Western Conference behind sovereign Boston. The Hurricanes have a four-point lead on third-place New Jersey.
Dallas was already leading 2-0 after Faks' second-minute strike, but Calgary came back into the game and turned the tide. At 5:5, the match went into overtime, in which the team's most productive player, Jason Robertson, scored the winner for Dallas. The Stars won after two losses and are in third place in the Western Conference standings, one point behind leaders Vegas. Faksa scored the eleventh goal of the season and collected a total of 17 points.
“We can compete with every team in the league. Our first goal is to dominate the Western Conference standings,” Stars coach Wyatt Johnston said. “We believe in each other as a team and we believe in our game. I think that at the end of the year we can be happy about winning the Stanley Cup,” he added confidently.
Filip Chytil also entered the statistics in Saturday's program, who contributed an assist to demolish Pittsburgh 6-0. Rangers were led by Mika Zibanejad, who shone with a goal and an assist. Chytil adjusted his season balance to 19 goals and the same number of assists, and for the first time in his career he is trying to break the forty-point mark.
Patrick Kane scored two assists. After being traded from Chicago, the 34-year-old forward scored seven points in eight games and helped the Rangers to five wins. The New York team won for the third time in a row and is fifth in the Eastern Conference table.
Radko Gudas contributed to Florida's turnaround from 0:2 to 4:2 in the match against New Jersey. The Czech defender joined the action before Matthew Tkachuk's winning goal and scored his thirteenth point of the season.
