Prague – President-elect Petr Pavel published a report on his health. According to the doctors, a comprehensive examination proved that Pavel is able to perform all presidential duties without exception from a medical point of view. Pavel published the health report on his website. It was made by the director of the Central Military Hospital, Miroslav Zavoral, who also takes care of the health of the outgoing President Miloš Zeman.

In the report, Zavoral described Pavel as a healthy and vital man, “who is able to fully perform all duties within the framework of the function of the President of the Czech Republic”.
According to Zavoral, the report was drawn up on the basis of a preventive inspection that Pavel completed on February 21. “Comprehensive examinations proved that the president-elect is fully fit from a health point of view to perform his duties, including all due duties without any exceptions,” said Zavoral. He wrote the text on February 28.
In addition to a detailed physical examination and laboratory blood tests, Pavel underwent other preventive specialized examinations at the internal clinic and the radiology department. They included X-rays of the lungs and heart, EKG, ECHO of the heart, angiological examination and sonography of the abdomen and prostate.
The doctor recommended Pavlov an anti-sclerotic diet with a restriction of animal fats or the use of a drug to reduce the concentration of uric acid in the blood.
The issue of health was mainly addressed by Pavlov's predecessor, Miloš Zeman. Due to serious health problems, he was hospitalized in the fall of 2021, and since then he needs the care of nurses even in the castle in Lán, where he has been living for the last few years.
