Ostrava – Beach volleyball players Ondřej Perušič and David Schweiner did not go well on the final day of the Pro Tour Elite tournament in Ostrava. After the semi-final defeat in the tie-break with Norwegian Anders Mol and Christian Sörum, they lost in the match for bronze to the Americans Miles Partain and Andrew Benesch 14:21, 17:21, and after three unsuccessful duels for gold in a row, just like at the premiere of the event in Dolní Vítkovice, they took fourth place.

The entry into the match did not work out for the Czechs and they took a time-out at 1:5. Even after that, the home pair messed up a lot and lost the first set by seven points. Even in the second set, despite the great support of the home crowd, Perušič and Schweiner could not get up to speed for a long time, and the nearly flawless Americans built up to a five-point lead. The Czech No. 1s could no longer erase it.
The beach volleyball players were dominated by Brazilians Ana Patrícia and Duda, who confirmed their role as No. 1 seeds in Ostrava. In the final, the reigning world champions defeated the American pair of Terese Cannonová and Sarah Sponcilová 17:21, 21:14, 15:12, just like in the group. The American women did not make it through the tournament from qualification to the title.
In the first set, the Americans had the upper hand, in the second the tables turned. The tie-break was the most balanced, the Brazilians held the lead for a long time by a single break. In the end, they increased it even more and won their third joint title on the world circuit after a service error by their opponents.
