Thus Maria Teresa Petrangolini, director of the Patient Advocacy Lab of Altems, speaking at the presentation of ‘Raise the patients’ voice’, the advanced training course dedicated to patient associations wanted by Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), in collaboration with Altems, the High School of Economics and Management of Health Systems.

The advanced training course “was created to work together with associations – explains Petrangolini – to help their level of competence and impact in the relationship with the institutions. A good bet that 30 associations and 71 representatives have already collected. For us it is certainly a great responsibility, because there is a strong expectation on the part of the associations that we hope to satisfy. Why this initiative? It is the right thing to do. Not surprisingly, since last June the Ministry of Health has set up a working group that will have to produce a document on the participation of patient and citizen associations operating in health. The calendar of meetings of ‘Raise the patients’ voice’, inaugurated today, will continue until November 27 and includes various modules that will address issues such as the general scenario of healthcare and organizational models, institutional communication and negotiation techniques, development of an integrated communication plan.
