New York – Phoenix basketball players defeated Dallas 130:126 in an attractive and watched battle of rivals from the Western Conference of the NBA. The leaders of the winning team were Kevin Durant with 37 points and seven rebounds and Devin Booker with 36 points and 10 assists. 34 points and nine rebounds from Luka Doncic or 30 points and seven assists from Kyrie Irving, Durant's teammate from Brooklyn, were not enough for Dallas. Phoenix is in fourth place in the standings after its third win in a row, Dallas has lost for the third time in the last four games and is in seventh place with three fewer wins.

During a close game in which neither team led by double digits, Durant hit a two-point shot with 12 seconds left to give the Suns a 128-126 lead. After Doncic missed a game-tying shot six seconds later, Durant sealed the game with free throws.
“None of the defenders who are near me ever give me space, so sometimes I have to step to the side instead of going straight. At that point I was in control of the ball and when I felt it was time, I stopped and shot.” Durant commented on the tough game-winning shot over Tim Hardaway and Irving as well.
Boston, the second team of the Eastern Conference, also suffered its third defeat in the last four games. Jayson Tatum's 40 points, 11 rebounds and six assists were not enough for the Celtics against New York. The Knicks won 131-129 after two overtimes and won their ninth game in a row. The Celtics could have decided the first set five-minute period with Tatum's horn, Al Horford's second three-pointer, but none of them hit.
The leader of the Knicks was Immanuel Quickley, who scored a personal record 38 points and added eight rebounds and seven assists. He spent over 55 minutes on the board, clearly the most of all players. “Great performance. I wanted him to rest a little at the beginning of the fourth quarter, but he made some shots and then we needed him,” coach Tim Thibodeau said.
Julius Randle was second for Quickley with 31 points, RJ Barrett added 29 points and 11 rebounds. The Knicks currently hold the longest winning streak and are fifth in the Eastern Conference. On the Boston side, Jaylen Brown scored 29 points, Horford scored 20 points, 14 rebounds and six assists.
Paul George's brilliant 42 points helped the Los Angeles Clippers to a 135-129 victory over weakened Memphis. George also added 11 rebounds, and was helped by Kawhi Leonard with 34 points and 10 rebounds. The Clippers succeeded over the Grizzlies' 18 three-pointers and 51 points received in the third quarter. Desmond Bane led Memphis without the suspended Ja Morant with 30 points.
Damian Lillard scored 41 points in Portland's 122-119 win in Orlando, although he hit just four of 16 three-pointers. Zach LaVine scored one more point against Indiana, but Chicago lost 122-125. Anthony Davis led the Los Angeles Lakers 113-105 win over Golden State with 39 points, the Warriors were led by a healthy Stephen Curry with 27 points.
