Approved the changes to the Highway Code: introduced parking for pregnant women. For wild stop the penalties go up to 672 euros
Reserved seats for pregnant women, maxi fines for wild parking and new rules for micro-mobility. The Infrastructure and Transport Decree, approved by the Council of Ministers, is a reality and introduces some important 360 ° innovations in the field of mobility.
In the Highway Code comes the full introduction of the “pink stalls”, dedicated to pregnant women and parents with children up to two years; previously the pink stalls were managed by the municipal administrations in a regime of total discretion.
From now on, the municipalities will also be able to reserve permanent or temporary parking places, in addition to vehicles used for the transport of people with disabilities, even electric vehicles, vehicles for loading and unloading goods at set times. and school transport.
The decree also provides for a strengthening of the sanctions for those who occupy the pink stalls and other reserved parking spaces without being authorized. The fines for those who park in spaces reserved for people with disabilities are doubled: the new penalty will be between 168 and 672 euros. More expensive fines are also provided for those who stop in urban pardoned areas.
The Infrastructure dl announces interventions on micromobility, which however will be agreed in parliament on the occasion of the conversion into law of the decree (which, we recall, must take place within 60 days of its enactment, under penalty of forfeiture). There are many possibilities on the table: the most concrete of all concerns the mandatory nature of the helmet for all users of electric scooters.
