PlayStation Studios continues to be talked about, through a new acquisition of a development studio. It is about Nixxes, Dutch company specializing in video game design and porting, which sees some of the most famous works recently Marvel’s Avengers is Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
The news came through an article on the site BusinessWire, immediately retweeted by many users on the net, including Nibel, the user who just recently found a rating for Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut. The acquisition was then also confirmed by Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios.
It therefore seems not to stop the expansion of PlayStation Studios, which also recently entered into an agreement with Housermarque, the company that developed the title exclusively for PS5 Returnal. The news has not yet been accompanied by an official post, which will certainly not be long in coming.
The Dutch company has contributed to the development of many other titles, such as the entire new trilogy dedicated to tomb Raider, the saga of Legacy of Kain and many other titles. The latter title is particularly interesting, as recently a rumor dedicated to his remaster seems to have popped up, which we talked about in this article.

It is still very early to say if remastered PlayStation 5 will actually arrive, but certainly working directly at Sony could speed up the times. In his statement, Hulst expresses his satisfaction in being able to work side by side with the studio.
They have a passion for improving games and delivering the best possible experience for players. Nixxes will be a strong asset to anyone at PlayStation Studios, helping our team focus on their most important goal, which is to create the best quality PlayStation content.
We can now only wait for more information on future projects, given the huge expansion of the PlayStation studios.
