To continue with the repair work, the Andalién bridge will be closed for almost a month. Although work on the viaduct is little more than 42% complete, the completion of the work is scheduled for the end of the year.
The historic Andalién de Concepción bridge will be closed near one month due to repair work.
The viaduct connecting Concepción with Penco is more than 91 years old, so the repair work that is being carried out required the temporary closure of the bridge.
The works to maintain this viaduct have an investment of more than $225 million. The substitute director of the Serviu, Álvaro Rojas, gave the details of the works that will be registered in this bridge, which is a heritage of the city.
“Basically it contains works referred to to recover the aesthetic elements and ornamental of the bridge. And, also ensure a safe flow through a good lighting project in the case of night traffic. These works require the bridge to be closed in order to carry out the work safely“, explained Rojas.
Finally, the work on the Andalién bridge they have just over 42% progress. However, the completion of the work is scheduled for the end of the year.
