Norman Nato wins theBerlin eprix 2021, last race of the championship Formula E World Championship, ahead of Oliver Rowland and Stoffel Vandoorne. Meanwhile, it is a big party at Mercedes with Nyck De Vries who wins the title of world champion by closing the race in eighth position.
Race 2 Formula E 2021 ePrix Berlin, De Vries and Mercedes conquer the world championship
The last round of the Berlin ePrix 2021, valid for the Formula E world championship, literally starts with a bang. At the start of the race the Jaguar Racing of Mitch Evans does not start and is centered in full by Mortara. In a single fight, two of the eight title contenders immediately go out of the scene triggering a red flag to take both electric racing cars and Edoardo Mortara, slightly shaken by the accident. After a lap behind the safety car, the race resumes with Stoffel Vandoorne defending the first position ahead of Rowland and Sims, but behind another title contender, the rookie. Jake Dennis, ends up on the wall to avoid Sebastién Buemi’s Nissan on the straight.
After an FCY, the game resumes with Vandoorne in command and De Vries’ Mercedes begins to recover positions and the conquest of the title for the Flying Dutchman becomes more and more concrete. Meanwhile, the standard bearer of Rokit Venturi Racing, NormanBorn, he is in fourth position and using Attack Mode he climbs back to first position ahead of Sims and Rowland, while De Vries is sixth.

At the beginning of the second part of the race the pilots immediately use the second attack mode and the situation remains unchanged, except that De Vries gains two positions and climbs to fourth place. Meanwhile, the race ends early for the season 6 champion Da Costa, who is sent to the wall by Lucas Di Grassi. The accident will cause a safety car to return and bring the group back together for the final showdown.
Nato and Rowland maintain the first and second position respectively, while behind Vandoorne overtakes Sims for the lowest step of the podium. The race has nothing more to say with Born who wins the Berlin ePrix 2 2021 ahead of Rowland And Vandoorne, but the real party is behind with De Vries who closes seventh and mathematically becomes the first Formula E world champion.
