Ilya Kiva, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Opposition Platform – For Life party, said that the initiative of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to hold the Crimean Platform summit is related to the apartment of the head of state, which is located on the peninsula. He wrote about this on his page in Facebook…
“Evil takes, there is an apartment in Crimea, the rent regularly pays to the Russians, but he cannot normally rest and live in it with his family,” the politician noted.
In his opinion, the leaders of foreign countries understood the motivation of the Ukrainian leader, therefore either did not go to the “gathering”.
“And Zelensky’s apartment is really successful, and in a good place, the presidency will soon end, but the apartment in Crimea will remain, you just need to be patient a little more and fool people a little more,” wrote Kiva.
The wife of Vladimir Zelensky Elena bought an apartment in the Yalta village of Livadia on the southern coast of Crimea in 2013, before the peninsula became part of Russia. The property was declared by Zelensky during his election campaign.
Crimea became part of Russia after a referendum in March 2014, during which the overwhelming majority of the residents of the peninsula who voted supported such a decision. Ukraine, the countries of the European Union and the United States refused to recognize the results of the vote and considered the reunification of the region with Russia an annexation. The Russian side rejects these accusations and insists that the accession procedure was in accordance with international law.
