Prague – Road workers will repair the place where the accessible ramp separates from Prague's Barrandovská bridge to Modran and Braník. The goal of the reconstruction is to increase the capacity of the road and allow drivers to get off the bridge more easily. The work will start on April 28 and should last until May 15. ČTK was informed by the spokesperson of the Technical Communications Administration (TSK) Barbora Lišková. From May 15, this year's reconstruction of the bridge will begin, which is planned until August 14 this year.

“This is the first significant traffic restriction before the main part of the bridge reconstruction,” said the spokeswoman. According to her, the right lane will be closed from the Barrandovské bridge in the direction from the center to the South Junction before and after the so-called split at the exit to Modřanská street, and the left lane on the ramp for about 130 meters in length.
Workers will demolish part of the wall, which is now located here, will adjust the terrain and lay a temporary road surface that will be used during this year's bridge repairs. The number of traffic lanes will be reduced at the work site.
This year's phase of repairs to the Barrandovské bridge includes work on the northern half of its southern part and on the Barrandovské ramp from K Barrandovu Street. Like last year, traffic will be conducted in three lanes in each direction instead of the current four. The Barrand ramp will be closed. The workers will, among other things, repair the top of the bridge and the drainage, rehabilitate the lower parts of the supporting structure and make new cornices.
Reconstruction of the bridge began last year on the southern half of its southern part. The work is spread over several years and should last only part of the year. For the entire period, they will amount to 594.5 million crowns. The joint, formed by the northern and southern parts, from 1983 has not yet been repaired.
