Moscow – The Russian arms industry has significantly increased the production of Kinzhal supersonic missiles. According to the DPA agency, this was stated by the head of the Russian arms concern Rostěch (Rostec), Sergey Chemezov.

“At first, such a large amount was not required, but now we are increasing production,” Chemezov said on Russian TV on Saturday.
According to him, Russia has drastically increased production in all areas of the arms industry. “In some cases up to fifty times,” stated Čemezov. The intensification of production mainly concerns ammunition factories, he added.
However, Russian military bloggers have recently reported that Russian troops on the front in Ukraine are suffering from a lack of ammunition.
Chemezov, who is considered as a confidant of Russian President Vladimir Putin, also stated that Russia will produce 300 new combat helicopters by the end of the year. That's roughly the same amount the Ukrainian military says it has shot down since Russia invaded last February.
