“Another Russian air attack. They sent drones and missiles at night. Unfortunately, there are strikes in the north and west of Ukraine, as well as in the Dnepropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions,” wrote Jermak in a telegram post. “The Russians have somewhat changed their tactics. They are conducting active reconnaissance, using false targets. But air defenses have dealt with most of the enemy's missiles and drones,” he added.
Explosions were heard from several places throughout Ukraine today, but it was not clear , whether it was strikes or air defense work. According to the Unian agency, more details about the attacks are expected this morning.
Damage was reported early this morning by the Lviv region, where according to the head of the regional administration, Maksym Kozycky, Russia hit an unspecified critical infrastructure facility. According to him, a fire started on the spot, but the fire was extinguished. “There are no injuries or deaths,” wrote Kozycky in a telegram.
Russian troops launched an invasion of Ukraine almost a year ago. After a series of frontline failures in the summer and fall, Moscow launched regular air attacks on Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure at the beginning of last October.
