The head of the Kyiv military administration, Serhiy Popko, announced that nine drones were destroyed in the airspace around the capital and that, according to preliminary information, they did not cause any material damage or injure anyone. The attack was carried out in two waves. “In this way, the enemy tried to achieve his tactical goal – to exhaust our air defense. That is why the night raid on Kyiv lasted five and a half hours,” added Popko.

The city of Khmelnytskyi in the west of Ukraine also became the target of the Russian attack . Houses used by civilians were damaged, firefighters are extinguishing the fire on the spot.

Telegram channel RBK Ukraine reports that the Russians attacked the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson during the night of today and in the morning. Explosions can be heard in this city, which was liberated by the Ukrainian army last November, but which is regularly shelled by Russian troops from the east bank of the Dnieper. The local authorities said that over the last day, one person died and two were injured due to enemy shelling in Kherson.
