“There was too much rest. Unfortunately, especially in the middle of the season. Something happened that I didn't expect, but it happens. Sport is sport and no one can plan everything in advance,” said Sáblíková to ČTK.
A thirty-five-year-old Czech representative cut her leg with her skates when she fell in Canada. Therefore, she missed the third part of the SP completely, in the fourth she started only on the 5000 meters track to qualify for the WC. “I didn't compete much in the season, which I regret. I have a certain deficiency. Every race is good to test how I am doing, what to expect and what I can afford,” she said.
That is also why Sáblíková is planning the maximum number of starts in Tomaszów Mazowiecki. On Friday, she will compete in the 3,000-meter race, on Saturday in the 15-meter race, and on Sunday, she is registered for the kilometer race. “Everything will depend on the triple. I'll see how I do. If it's not ideal, I'll skip the pound and prepare for the triple next week,” she noted.
The World Cup has two for the second time this season stops in one place and the fight for points in the series two weekends in a row. While the native of Nové Město na Moravě likes Calgary, even though it was very cold there at the end of the year, a week's stay in Poland would be enough for her. where to go, what to see, and it's different than in Inzell or Canada. But from the point of view of the organization, it's easier if you stay in one place,” said Sáblíková.
She is happy that she is in good health ok “There is no cramp or anything like that, my leg is holding up. Nothing limits me, I can do everything. I can go to the gym, bike, on the ice without any problems. I am in a positive mood that after a long time there is no pain,” praised coach Petra's client Novák.
Veronika Antošová and Zuzana Kuršová will appear together with Sáblíková in the fifth episode of SP. Nikola Zdráhalová, who had long-term problems with her back, will no longer participate in the season.
